Do you have AfterPay?
We certainly do! You'll see AfterPay as a payment method on the checkout page.
Do you test on animals?
No, we don't. We are 100% Certified Cruelty Free. We are passionate about being cruelty free. There is no need for animal testing as there are absolutely no nasties in any of our products.
Are your products safe during pregnancy?
Our products do not contain any harsh chemicals (parabens, aluminum, retinol etc) or preservatives. Pure essential oils are generally not recommended during pregnancy, however natural products contain highly diluted essential oils, so they’re generally safe to use. You should always check with your obstetrician before using a new product.
Have your products been tested?
We do not test on animals, however we have had a group of volunteers use and provide feedback on the products in the development stage, including volunteers who have sensitive skin and suffer from skin issues such as eczema. No irritation or discomfort was reported.
What is the shelf life of your handmade products?
Generally about 12 months. We do not use preservatives, so when you use Avirida products, you are using something that is 100% pure and natural.
Where should I store the product?
We recommend storage in a dry, normal room temperature environment (between 18-30 degrees celsius). Please note the product may begin to melt if left in a hot car. We do not recommend storing the product in the bathroom because wood can grow mold if it becomes moist. Please keep the product dry.
How do I use Face the Music mud & clay face mask?
Face the Music is a dehydrated product, so you get more mask for your money! Simply scoop out half a teaspoon of the product into a separate bowl. Add a few drops of water and mix. Add slightly more water as needed until you reach the desired consistency. Apply to your face using your hands or a brush. Keep the mask on your face for about 10 minutes (or until the clay appears powdery and white), then rinse with warm water. You'll feel amazing and your skin will glow!
Are your products vegan?
Where do you source your timber from?
We source our timber from salvaged/ storm damaged logs, recycled timber or local plantations. We occasionally come across farmers who have chopped down non-native trees that are considered weeds in Australia (eg. Camphor Laurel) with the intention of burning them, so we buy these logs and give them a second life where we can.
Are the jars reusable?
Yes, our jars can be reused to store jewellery, spices, loose tea & coffee, cotton pads, or you can even plant a little cactus plant in them!
Are the jars compostable?
Yes, our jars are made from untreated natural timber, hand finished with natural vegetable oil. We do not use any chemical hardeners or solvents, therefore the jar will completely biodegrade over time, just like any other piece of wood in nature would.
Do you have a refill program?
